My name is Nadia Waters. I was born on a farm in country NSW, and my interest and appreciation for nature flourished at a young age and continues to grow. I am fascinated with the beauty and design of the natural world particularly bushland and coastal environments.
For me, expression through drawing and painting gives me a deeper respect and love for nature. I believe that nature is teacher. It evokes a sense of wonder, provides infinite stimulus for creativity, and enriches life. My creativity is a process of exploring my own sensory experience in response to our environment. The natural world will forever continue to surprise, intrigue and inspire my imagination.
I pursued my interest in visual arts by studying Natural History Illustration, at the University of Newcastle. The course combines art, science and nature. I completed the undergraduate degree, Honours and Masters, which has informed, guided and enhanced my artistic vision.
